Pimcore implementation

Pimcore allows you to centrally manage data and data domains. By modeling complex data hierarchies, you can effectively classify all data instances and centrally manage multi-domain hierarchies in accordance with specific business requirements.

Pimcore Workflow is a set of activities within Pimcore that are responsible for going through a process or object life cycle and are based on the Symfony Workflow component. Workflow can have their own statuses (States) for everyone, as well as ways to move from one status to another with the rules (Transition Guard) according to which this transition should take place, which allows you to comfortably collaborate, monitoring and improving it in the process.

All posts/unpublications, deletions or upgrades are maintained through a special scheduler (Cron Scheduler). This way you can always stay up to date with the stages of work being carried out — when, by whom and how the facility was renovated.

Although a standard set of Field Collections is usually sufficient, with more variations, setting up validation becomes problematic, and most of the items will have empty values. Object Bricks speed up the work of structuring object variations. For example, you can create the “Electronics” section and add “Displays” to it, and expand the “Displays” section to “Monitors” and “TVs”. Object Bricks can be applied not only to products, but also to any type of data: payment method, delivery method, etc.

To receive content from different channels, distribute it and then combine it, Pimcore has special layouts for structuring data in detail. The layouts can be customized and expanded as desired. Thus, all data is stored in an orderly manner and in one place, which makes it easier to further work with it.

With MDM Pimcore, you can maintain, store, manage and store different versions of structured and unstructured data, and track the history of changes with who is responsible at each stage of work. This helps to control the work with data about products, functions, technologies and, if necessary, scale it with business processes.

Assets are Pimcore's DAM functionality that allows you to structure and store files (including images), as well as have metadata based on them (for example, ALT for photos or a timeline for videos). You can use both internal and third-party services to preview media files. There is Image Editor, an image editor that allows you to manually and automatically perform a number of basic operations.

Pimcore supports a configurator of calculated values, which can be either simple (gallons per litre — simple division by 3.8) or programmable (for example, data from the Central Bank of the Russian Federation are used to convert the dollar into euros).
