The project
Implementation of a PIM system for consolidating real estate data
Year
2024-2025
Client
The developer Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye, which is implementing the Sberbank City project, is a new business and residential district in the Western District of Moscow. The project includes 2.5 million m² of housing, 837,000 m² of offices, a cottage village, 150 hectares of green areas and social infrastructure.
The situation at the start of the project
The client had several disparate IT systems at once: the CRM of the sales department, the CRM of the management company and a separate service for billing and sending documents to the CRM Management Company, internal services with technical characteristics of facilities and architectural plans from the developer. Each of these systems stored its own piece of information, and some of it was distributed into internal Excel files that were manually updated.
There was no single source of relevant data on real estate properties, which slowed down work, increased risks and prevented scaling. The need to consolidate and systematize information has become critical.
Issues
- There was no single data management center. Information about the size, price, cadastral value and other characteristics of apartments, storage rooms and parking spaces was scattered across different systems and Excel files, without the possibility of centralized updates. At the same time, prices were constantly changing, and we needed a system that would allow us to quickly update data without completely rebooting the facility.
- Constant updating of data. Against the background of high market dynamics, data changed literally every hour, especially prices and space. It was important to have a system that could centrally store this data and quickly update it without having to manually reassemble the entire facility.
- High risk of errors. Data changes were made manually, which led to inconsistencies between departments and errors in communication with customers. Sales managers were not always sure that the conditions they offered were up to date.
- Inability to scale. Any change required manual entry into tables, which slowed down work, distracted employees from their main tasks and increased the likelihood of mistakes.
Business result
All property data — space, prices, statuses and payment terms — is stored centrally in the PIM system and is automatically updated in all related systems.
Sales managers work with up-to-date information and can instantly provide customers with current prices, and after the house is delivered, correct space data is automatically transferred to billing systems. This eliminates errors in the preparation of receipts and increases the owners' confidence in the service.
Development process
Business request at the start
Consolidate property data in a single digital space to eliminate manual work and discrepancies between systems.
The goal of the project at the start
Deploy a Pimcore-based PIM system as a master data system and integrate it with internal IT systems.
Development time
1 year from start to ready for use.
Result
All property changes are now made and updated directly to PIM.

The main stages of the life cycle of a property in Pimcore Sbercity_Tasks.png
For example: a new storage room has appeared: it is installed in PIM, sold through CRM, and after the house is put into operation, the developer's system automatically receives actual data on the area. They replace the planned ones, and the updated information is used to calculate receipts to the CRM Criminal Code.
All information is collected in one place, the dates of changes are recorded, and any issue can now be closed quickly without wasting time searching for disparate data in various systems.
Technology stack
The project was implemented on the basis of Pimcore.
Comment from KT.team
“This project has become part of our growing expertise in development. Today, more and more developers are coming to the need to implement PIM systems in order to centrally manage data, reduce operational risks and scale their business without losing quality. We see how a unified data system helps developers build sustainable digital processes, and we are ready to be a technology partner in this area.”
